Michaelis Guia Nova Ortografia 1.3.1

The purpose of this guide is to provide an objective overview of the spelling changes in the Portuguese language resulting from the Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement. Signed in Lisbon on December 16, 1990, this agreement involved Portugal, Brazil, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, and later East Timor. Notably, Brazil approved the Agreement through Legislative Decree No. 54 on April 18, 1995.

This guide has been meticulously crafted in accordance with the 5th edition of the "Vocabulário Ortográfico da Língua Portuguesa" (VOLP), published by the esteemed Brazilian Academy of Letters in March 2009.
